To introduce the theory and practice of solid
modeling using Pro/Engineer software.
This includes but is not limited to the creation of relatively
complex parts and assemblies, and the production of related detailed
engineering drawings. Additionally
the student will learn the terminology used in Pro/E and gain an
understanding of the design philosophy and methods embedded in Pro/E. |
 |
To introduce the student to the AutoCAD
system with its graphics, drafting and design power.
To learn the working principles of the software and how to use them
effectively for drafting and design of projects of moderate complexity. |
 |
Educate the student in the concepts and techniques
of using Autodesk Inventor for solid modeling of objects. The
student will learn the use of advanced concepts and techniques of modeling
individual components and complicated assemblies. |
 |
Develop an understanding of MasterCAM software
and its commercial applications. |
